Calvary Cemetery
Brimfield, IL.
Calvary Cemetery is associated with St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brimfield and has been around since 1881. It is a sacred space, a place of prayer and quiet reflection that invites us to remember all those “who have gone now before us marked with the sign of faith.”
On April 29, 1969, Calvary Cemetery was blessed and formally dedicated by Fr. Nickerson. The Crucifix, showed left, was purchased in 1927 along with the iron fence. The altar shown behind the Crucifix was donated by the Carroll and Burrus families in 1996. Look around the site and get in touch with us if you have any questions concerning the cemetery, how to purchase a plot, or questions concerning genealogy in the cemetery. If you have a family member at the Calvary Cemetery who served in the military, please head to the More Information tab. There, along with our Upcoming Events, a schedule on when to remove stone decorations, and the cemetery hours, you will find information on how to receive a stone plaque to distinguish those who served our country.
